GB Cullet Ltd is a well established glass re-cycling company based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. They recently had some new machinery installed in their factory processing re-cycled glass cullet.
There were large amounts of dust generated from the new machinery that became airborne, causing the factory to be covered in dust and becoming hazardous to the operators working in the area.
Heaton Green Dust Control was contacted by the company to investigate a solution to provide a dust extraction system to capture the dust and collect it for further re-cycling. Capture hoods and ducting were designed and a suitably sized filter unit was supplied and installed outside in a suitable area that allowed the company to access the changing of the dust collection bag and for the future changing of the filter bags fitted to the filter unit.
